PEDIGREE

Pedigree is an ongoing project that explores the modern pursuit of beauty and the innate absorption our society has with vanity. This current display is a theatrical depiction of what it feels like to live in a world that so consistently rewards female beauty - and the lengths we are willing to go for it.

The photos take inspiration from my own experiences and the experiences of my circle around me, to reflect on how the temporary rush of conquering a beauty standard is in fact only a losing game. By using real situations as reference but adding an element surrealism, Pedigree is a comedic critique of how perhaps the endeavors we have normalized for beauty, should in fact not be normal.

Pedigree has been formatted and designed to fit both in publication printing and within a physical exhibition. For more information, please feel free to make contact.
